The Southwest Utah Rural Preparedness Summit will be held on February 27 and 28, 2017 at Dixie State University. The summit is sponsored by the Southwest Utah Public Health Department and its local partners.
Who should attend? Emergency managers, first responders, health and medical professionals, emergency volunteers, community leaders, and anyone interested in learning about rural community emergency plans in southwest Utah. Only $25 if you work in the southwest Utah region(Washington, Iron, Kane, Beaver, and Garfield counties)! Education credits available.
The focus of the summit is to fill knowledge gaps identified in recent exercises with the following objectives:
1- Strengthen and update rural emergency plans
2- Understand how to work together for quick and effective response to an emergency
3- Improve preparedness for your agency, group, organization, and family
4- Understand your individual role in rural emergency response, enabling you to be part of the solution and not part of the problem
