SUMMARY:CERT Training
DESCRIPTION:*** NOTE: You ONLY need to book for January 3rd to attend all 4
  sessions ***\n\nThe CERT basic course meets every Saturday from 12:00 PM 
 to 3:00 PM for four consecutive weeks. Attendance to all eight modules is 
 required to receive a certificate. Course fees allow us to provide student
 s with a manual\, backpack and the basic personal protective equipment req
 uired for the course.\n\nCERT educates individuals about disaster prepared
 ness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disas
 ter response skills\, such as fire safety\, light search and rescue\, team
  organization\, and disaster medical operations. Using training learned in
  the classroom and during exercises\, CERT volunteers can assist others in
  their community following a disaster when professional responders are not
  immediately available to help. CERT volunteers are also encouraged to sup
 port emergency response agencies by taking an active role in emergency pre
 paredness projects.
