S200 Initial Attack Incident Commander
This course is designed to meet the training needs of the incident commander type 4 (ICT4). It is presented in a discussion/exercise format. The six instructional units include Foundation Skills; Intelligence Gathering and Documentation; Size Up the Incident; Develop a Plan of Action; Post‐fire Activities; Evaluating Incident Objectives and Manage the Incident. Evaluation of the student is by unit tests and performance based evaluations. Training Hours: 16 Classroom 3 hours pre‐course work (required) When: Friday Nights: February 23 and March 2 1800‐2200 Saturdays: February 24 and March 3 0800‐1700 FFSL may provide lodging at double occupancy for approved fire departments staying overnight, Saturday lunches may be provided by FFSL subject to budgetary restraints. **All student nominations to be sent to the Southwest Area FFSL Office to ensure all students meet the required trainings for acceptance into these courses.
