In a large-scale emergency requiring mass care and shelters, the Southwest Utah Public Health Department would have a supporting role in disease prevention, food safety, sanitation, and other health-related concerns. The Health Department is hosting a training for Medical Reserve Corps members (and anyone interested in emergency preparedness) to gain the knowledge and skills needed to assist Department personnel with mass care duties.
